Maren Holt’s first feature is a patient, atmospheric study of grief that earns every one of its silences. The project has been in development for several years and attracted interest from distributors after early footage screened privately in London this summer.

“We wanted something that felt handmade,” the director said. “Audiences can tell when a world has been built rather than generated.”

A release date has not been confirmed, though the producers say they are targeting a festival premiere before a wider theatrical rollout.
